Jabari Parker grew up in South side Chicago — a city known for great basketball.

By the time he was in 2nd grade he was better than 5th graders; by the time he was in 4th grade he was starring on the 8th grade team.

By the time he was in high school, he was nationally regarded as the best high school basketball player in America.

He led Simeon Career Academy to four state championships and by this time, he was on the radar of some of the top Division I schools being described as the most NBA-ready college recruit.

Before all of that, he was little Jabari.

A 6’3 seventh grader (according to the video) who would unknowingly grow to become one of the countries most humbled and beloved basketball players; and not to mention one of the most prolific scoring threats in the 2014 NBA draft.
