Kentucky coach John Calipari was in Galax, VA. on Tuesday night for Oak Hill Academy's season opener against Moravian Prep (N.C.) to see top-ranked power forward Harry Giles.

According to 247 Sports, Tuesday marked the third time in less than two months Calipari has traveled to see Giles.

Per 247 Sports:

“[Calipari] just came to the game. He had talked to him by phone earlier and told him he was coming,” Oak Hill Academy coach Steve Smith told Wednesday. “He just wanted to show the interest they have this late in the process.”

Although the Warriors would open their season with an 88-43 victory over Moravian Prep, Giles would suffer an injury in the first few minutes of the game.

His father, Harry Giles, Sr., later confirmed in a text to ESPN that his son suffered a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament that will sideline him for the season.

Harry Giles, Sr., also said that his son will still announce his college decision on Friday at noon on ESPN's Sports Center.

Giles is currently considering Wake Forest, Duke, and Kentucky.

UPDATE: 11/6/2015 2:02 PM ET

Harry Giles has committed to Duke University
