West Virginia’s Huntington Prep (HP) recently held a dunk contest at their annual pre-season scrimmage where Michigan State commit Miles Bridges showcased his freakish athleticism.

One of Bridges high-flying antics of the night (which later stormed the web), was a dunk where Bridges decided to dunk over his family.

HP will once again have a loaded roster this season, and already moved up one notch (#5 this season) in the USA Today Super 25 rankings.

Last season HP went 30-2 and finished at No. 6 in the final Super 25 rankings.

This year, the stacked Huntington, WV squad will once again be led by 6’6″ Miles Bridges (ranked as the No. 8 player overall and No. 3 player at his position in the Class of 2016) but also welcoming some new additions.

Per USA Today

Miles Bridges (15.7 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 3.5 apg), a 6-6 small forward and a Michigan State commit, is the top returnee for the Fighting Irish. Bridge is ranked as the No. 8 player overall and No. 3 player at his position in the Class of 2016.

Other key players include: Indiana commit Curtis Jones (15.3 ppg, 3.9 apg), a 6-3 senior guard; 6-8 senior wing Micah Thomas (14 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.5 bpg), a transfer from Briarcrest (Eads, Tenn.); and Onuralp Bitim, a shooting guard from Turkey.

The addition of Bitim should make Huntington Prep a strong contender this season.

According to NBADraft.net, Bitim is “A tremendous slasher with a great offensive repertoire. Bitim has good size for the position, with great athleticism and average speed. He excels in the transition game, showing the ability to attack the rim with a great variety of options. Furthermore, he excels in the use of fakes, Eurosteps, change of speed, and has amazing body control.”

It will be exciting to keep up with Huntington Prep this season.

Huntington Prep’s season opener is Nov. 9, vs. Wesley Christian High School, who recently lost to Oak Hill by a blowout last week.
