Chaminade College Preparatory opened its season with a 97-46 win over McCluer North on Tuesday night.
Duke commit, Jayson Tatum, led the way for the Red Devils with a game-high 30 points, including five triples and two blocks.
Chaminade took control right from the tip off, jumping out to a 7-0 lead in the first two minutes.
Tatum scored 17 points and hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter to give the Red Devils a 36-13 lead early.
Iowa commit, Tyler Cook, provided another first half spark for the Red Devils with five dunks that helped extend Chaminade's lead in the second quarter.
A 3-pointer at the buzzer by Jadis White to close out the first half proved to be an early dagger to McCluer North as the Red Devils took a 52-28 lead at the half.
Cook finished the game with 14 points and Jericole Hellems was the only other Chaminade player in double figures, chipping in 12 points.
Chaminade has a much tougher test this Thursday night.
