Queens, NY – Junior Cole Anthony and senior Moses Brown scored 25 and 24 points respectively to lead Archbishop Molloy in a 85-54 season-opening win over St. Anthony’s.
Molloy held a comfortable 37-25 lead at the end of the first half, before outscoring St. Anthony’s by a 29-7 margin in the third period to stretch its lead to 66-38. The 28-point margin was too great for St. Anthony’s to overcome as Molloy cruised to victory in the fourth quarter.
The combo of five-star recruits Anthony and Brown will be a tall task for opponents to counter this season. The duo is also joined by three-star prospect Khalid Moore (Georgia Tech signee) at small forward.
With scoring options all across the court and an up-tempo style of play, the Stanners may be the best team in New York City.
